680 jobs to go as Adobe cuts costs

The restructuring plan is expected to incur pre-tax charges of approximately US$65m-71m (A$71m-77m), including US$48m-52m relating to employee severance payments.

Adobe said it expected to record approximately US$18m-20m of the restructuring charges, which also include costs of US$17m-19m relating to the consolidation of leased facilities, in its forthcoming fourth-quarter results.

“We expect to complete the majority of the activities relating to the restructuing plan by the end of fiscal 2010,” the company added.
