Abbey installs new Optimus MIS

Abbey Manufacturing Group, producers of envelopes, binders and signage, has upgraded its management system to Optimus Dash.

According to Abbey, its previous systems were ‘time consuming and clunky’ and it needed an MIS that ‘started at the front door with the enquiry right through to despatch and payment’.

Optimus Dash is designed specifically for print companies, and promotes ‘speed transparency and automation’ in its content management.

Abbey Group operations manager Christian Macgregor says standard print MIS packages were not suitable for the company’s printing services which does not involve offset, like so many other printers using ‘off the shelf’ packages.

“We will be able to configure dash to suit our printing services (foil, screen and large format), which made dash the clear winner. We are not offset printers, so one of the off the shelf packages was not flexible enough for us,” says Macgregor.

Optimus managing director Nicola Bisset is positive the partnership will reap further success for both businesses.

“We are delighted to welcome Abbey Manufacturing Group as a customer. The diverse and growing range of products produced by Abbey really highlights how our award winning Optimus dash can manage any print and non printed related products and services,” says Bisset.

Established in 1970, Abbey operates in Smithfield NSW and offers services for print, plastic, bindery, stationary, folders and packaging.
