ABC Copier Solutions calls for more photocopier recycling

ABC Copier Solutions, a photocopier, plan printer and large production machinery recycling company, is calling out to the industry to sell its used and unwanted kit to the company.

The company’s managing director Jaxon Crocker said, “We need more machines recycled. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, a lot of the larger organisations are having problems with stock, so we can’t seem to get enough equipment at the moment.

“So, the opportunity we’re looking at is to try and get more machines as we can accordingly.”

ABC Copier Solutions buys, dismantles, and removes old equipment across Australia, which then get recycled in an environmentally-friendly way – their parts get sent to Singapore to be serviced before being distributed all over the world.

“The machines get sent to places China, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and the Philippines, and they’re all reused in an environmentally-friendly way,” Crocker said.

“This way, the lifecycle of a machine is elongated as they are used as second-hand machines for a longer amount of time rather than being dumped straight into landfill. From an environmental point of view, the machines can keep operating for 10, 20, 30, or even 40 years. Having metals and other materials put in the ground is not a professional thing for any business or company to do.”

Advantages of working with ABC Copier Solutions

As it services every part of Australia, ABC Copier Solutions has offices in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, along with storage facilities all over Australia.

“That’s one big advantage that we can offer – since we have offices in every major city, our turnaround times to get equipment picked up is very quick. We pay for the machines straightaway as well. What this enables the client to do is free up their cash flow,” Crocker said.

“Obviously, that’s vital in these COVID-19 times because every cent counts.”

When a technician from ABC Copier Solutions turns up to dismantle a machine, it parts get separated – from large-capacity cassettes to the unit, to the finishing unit. They’re all then loaded on a tail lift truck, professionally strapped down, done, wrapped, and relocated to the closest warehouse.

“We then order a 40-foot container. The equipment is put in that container, and then distributed all over the world,” Crocker said.

On average, the company exports nearly a container a week.

Success over three years

ABC Copier Solutions has been running for over three years and has dealt with some very large corporations and clients, including Ricoh, Kwik Kopy, Fuji Xerox, Kyocera and Konica Minolta.

“We’ve been very successful with Kyocera in getting the big plan printers. We’ve picked up a lot of Xerox Docuwides. We recently picked up 50 photocopiers from Maio Finance. We’ve done a lot of business with Curtin University, as well as larger schools and production companies. Konica Minolta has also used our services previously. These companies are an absolute pleasure to do business with,” Crocker said.

The company hasgone from picking up a small number of orders in its early days to now doing deals with clients that involve the pick-up of 50 to 80 machines.

“These clients and customers are so happy to see their machines recycled. Before we were around, these machines were being put in landfill, which is just so disappointing. One of our most recent pick-ups was from CMYKhub – it had a number of large, big production Konica Minolta machines to recycle,” Crocker added.
