Gilmore (pictured, right) said Autobond (19/ D780) had sold a host of kit, including its Mini 74 and Mini 78 laminators, to customers from countries including Malta, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

“It’s been a brilliant show,” said Gilmore. “It’s my ninth show and is definitely my best ever.”

Gilmore added that one reason for his company’s success at the show was its promotional efforts beforehand. The firm sent out mail shots and emails to potential customers highlighting the fact the kit was manufactured in Britain and built using Swiss and German parts, which according to Gilmore is a key selling point.

The promotional zeal has continued at Ipex, with Autobond laying on buses to transport event attendees to the Autobond factory in the nearby town of Heanor.
