BJ Ball celebrates innovation as big crowd of printers and designers party

The BJ ‘Ball’ also honoured the five finalists in the ‘Win a Trip to NYC Competition’ in which creatives produced short videos celebrating paper.

Sydney design firm There claimed the prize with runners-up trophies going to entries from The Distillery, Design and Opinion, FMS Design and Fizz Group.

The competition received 41 entries, judged by BJ Ball chief executive Craig Brown, Bambra Press managing director John Wanless, Clemenger BBDO creative group head Mark Poulter and Mohawk senior vice-president Laura Shore.

BJ Ball marketing and business development manager Tony Bertrand told the crowd: “We value innovation and we value what designers can do. We want to engage with the design community and we want the design community to engage with us.”

The event was held at the King St Brewhouse at Darling Harbour on 25 October.
