BJ Ball signs more than 100 customers for “first-in-market” ordering system

ICON includes a range of papers for digital presses that printers can store at their premises ready for immediate use once they place their order.

BJ Ball's marketing and business development manager, Tony Bertrand, said existing clients and leads had responded well to the "first-in-market" concept.

"Comments from many attendees at PacPrint were that this will add significant benefits to their business, not to mention save them money and deliver greater efficiencies," he told ProPrint.

"We were pleasantly surprised how many attendees took the time out to contact us during and post PacPrint to tell us that this was a fantastic service – and sign up of course," he said.

"We received well over 100 registrations [at PacPrint] with many more potential customers that are currently testing the solution. Conversion rates are in line with our registrations and this has been very pleasing."

Bertrand said BJ Ball had boosted its ICON forecast for 2013 based on the level of interest at PacPrint.
