BJ Ball is set to acquire WA graphics distributor West Graphics Print Supplies next week, in a deal that will see BJ Ball supply Huber Inks to the WA print community, as well as, print room consumables, including coatings, varnishes, press chemistry and blankets.

BJ Ball says the takeover next Monday will boost its service levels and local technical support to all major Australian cities, now including Perth.    

The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed, and it is unknown whether West Graphics will leave its facility in Osborne Park, WA.

The takeover will see West Graphics and Huber Group’s sales teams integrated into BJ Ball for a strengthened sales and technical team.

BJ Ball CEO Craig Brown comments, “BJ Ball and Huber Group together with the West Graphics business are fully committed to the market for the long term and we are delighted that together we will try and bring a consistency of quality and dependability within the Asia Pacific region.” 

West Graphics owner Glenn Fretwell adds, “BJ Ball is a logical partner to nurture and grow the business that we have developed over the past 25 years.

“We are delighted to see the business move into the BJ Ball group, who together with our long term key staff, will continue to serve and support our suppliers and customers.”

BJ Ball says its focus for the future is on delivering a wider range of products and greater customer service through its national distributors.
