Blokes erotica 50 Spades of Grey a win for McPhersons Printing

The risqué novel about a handyman and a young entrepreneur is set to hit shelves in time for Christmas.

Inspired by the erotic fiction phenomenon, the 50 Shades of Blokes trilogy commences with 50 Shelves of Grey, followed by 50 Spades of Grey and 50 Shades of Grass.

McPherson’s Printing in Maryborough, Victoria, part of the Opus Group, will produce initial runs of 7,000-10,000 for each of the 128pp books, which are published by NSW-based Big Sky Publishing.

Comedian Marty Wilson, the man behind pen name LOL James, is known for his appearances on The Footy Show and writing the bestselling What I Wish I Knew series.

He now regularly writes for Reader’s Digest, the Sydney Morning Herald and a many other magazines, as well as regular appears on Sunrise as one of Mel’s Devils.

EL James’ original 50 Shade of Gray has sold an estimated 40 million ebooks and print copies worldwide. 

Millions of copies have been produced at PMP-owned Griffin Press, exceeding The Da Vinci Code and the Harry Potter books.
