Body of Work triumphs again, scores 14 Bennys

Australian design and print agency Body of Work has scooped an unrivalled 14 awards at this year’s American Premier Print Awards, adding to the 13 it collected in 2015.

This year 3000 entrants around the world submitted work in the hopes of winning what is known as the industry’s Holy Grail, the Benjamin Franklin Award or Benny as it is referred to.

Body of Work has entered the awards for the past five years running, owner Bob Armstrong says the agency is the most prolific winner in the awards’ history.

“Body of Work is the only company to win 10 or more in a single year in the awards’ 65 year history. We have been winning more than 10 every year since we have entered,” Armstrong says.

“It is quite satisfying to win Bennys because it means we are heading in the right direction.”

When asked what makes his work stand out from the competition, Armstrong explains, “Basically the print work we produce is based on bespoke photography and like all bespoke products it is all produced without compromise, they are actually done without any consideration of cost.

“It is up to the judges for them to say what they thought of it but they seem to like them.”

All Benny winners will receive their awards during a gala held in Orlando, Florida on September 25.

Armstrong says he enters the American awards because he believes they are the pinnacle of success for the graphic arts and print industries worldwide.

He adds, “To be successful in these awards it is really peer recognition of what we are trying to achieve.”
