Bronco’s business buys SureColor

Crystal Media, owned and operated by former rugby league great Gavin Allen, is purchasing an Epson SureColor 80600 to replace its GS6000, supplied by G2 Print Supply Division.

Allen says he had a few must-have items on his list when looking to replace his eco-solvent Epson GS6000 printer.

“The existing GS6000 printer had delivered years of reliable service, producing a wide range of products, on a wide range of substrates, all with high quality and great colour.

“Buying new equipment is always challenging, but we have been happy with the quality and reliability of the Epson equipment in the past and it was hard to go past it again this time.”

After looking at a range of output devices, G2 says it introduced Allen to the new SureColor range of printers from Epson.

Bernie Hocking at G2 says, “On a recent trip to Sydney, Allen visited the Epson head office in North Ryde and saw the output from the machine first hand. What impressed most was the options available in the range, from standard four colour, two by four colour, up to 10 colour with white and metallic options.

“In the end it was the Surecolor S80600, 10 colour printer that proved the most useful for Crystal Media, with the option for white and metallic seen as an attractive bonus. The quality and speed of output were also key factors.”

G2 says it handled the installation, training and setup of the unit, with the machine ready for output within 24 hours of delivery.

The SureColor now sits alongside Crystal Media’s existing flatbed and cutter, providing multiple output options for their client’s needs.

Gavin Allen is a former Broncos front rower who considers himself a printer. He has won two premierships with the Brisbane Broncos, represented Queensland in the State of Origin, and spent six years as team manager for the national rugby league side.
