Catalogue Awards entries close tomorrow

Entries for the Australian Catalogue Association (ACA) Awards will be closed tomorrow, June 9 after a week-long extension.

Kelly Northwood, CEO, ACA says, “This year we have seen some great work submitted. It is terrific to see new companies joining the program showing, once again, how strong our industry is. The introduction of a new category for the awards – direct mail – has also shown its strength to our retail community.”

The ACA says the entries give a chance from small to big retailers to showcase their best work.  Entrants need to provide the judges with a short, succinct paragraph on how effective the catalogue was.

Catalogues must have been created in Australia or New Zealand, however, distribution in other parts of the world is also accepted. Further, for the second year, the Awards have several New Zealand only categories which include Fashion, Home, Cosmetics & Pharmacy, Recreation and Leisure, B2C and Retailers.

Northwood says, “The Catalogue Awards recognises the hard work that is done behind the scenes every day. It is a night when the industry celebrates together the innovation, diversity, creativity and success.”

Judging will take place over two weeks in Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand with over 50 judges selected from within the catalogue industry. The awards night will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday, August 25, with radio personality Libbi Gorr taking over the stage for the first time as the Master of Ceremonies.
