Catalogues Awards deadline extended

The Australian Catalogues Association (ACA) has extended its entries deadline for its 27th Awards to Friday June 15

The awards have been expanded this year with new categories including Point of Sale, Direct Mail, Customer Insights and CSR. The ACA is also launching its first International Awards with New Zealand joining in on the open categories and taking on their Australian colleagues.

The awards night will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday September 7, with comedian Dave O’Neil hosting.

Kellie Northwood, CEO, ACA says, “Each year we are seeing brands evolving their catalogues to become more mature and sophisticated in their content, design, layout and printing. As we see the catalogues mature, so do the stories behind them. It is terrific to see companies getting involved in the new categories – Point of Sale and Instore Display, Corporate Social Responsibility and Customer Insight showcasing how strong the industry is.”

The ACA says the competition provides a chance for all retailers to showcase their best work, with the association recommending entrants providing the judges with a story behind their campaign.

Campaigns must have been created in Australia or New Zealand, however distribution in other parts of the world is also accepted.

Judging will take place over two weeks in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland with over 60 judges from creative agencies, retail marketing teams, production and distribution.

Northwood says, “The ACA Awards began as recognition to Catalogues and is now a true retail marketing awards program recognising Catalogues, Direct Mail, Loyalty, Point of Sale and more across all retail market sectors. From concept to campaign development, photography to production the hard work across the collective industry is builds into a night of nights, when the industry celebrates together its innovation, diversity, creativity and success.”

Judging in Melbourne will take place from June 25-28, in Sydney from July 2-4 and in Auckland on July 6.
