Caxton Web automates client approval with Fujifilm XMF Remote

The Sydney-based heatset web printer was already a user of Fujifilm XMF workflow, and added the module to cut time and improve efficiency in the approval process.

Caxton managing director Mike Shannon said: “You can cut out a lot of time. For clients to be able to upload their files from remote locations and check them is a fantastic solution.”

He said another advantage was that it allowed multiple users at client companies to take part in the approval process.

“In some cases, several people could provide final sign-off. With this tool, that can be done almost simultaneously. FTP has served the industry well and will continue to do so but it does not integrate directly with the workflow,” added Shannon.

Steve Collyer, national manager, Electronics at Fujifilm Graphic Systems, said: “XMF Remote R6, the latest version of Fujifilm’s online job submission and soft proofing module, provides greater annotation control and allows for closer integration between printer and client.”

Collyer added that Fujifilm would use PrintEx to preview its newly announced iPad app for XMF Remote.
