CP Bourg premieres booklet-making and perfect-binding devices for Ipex

The Belgian manufacturer’s new product range includes the BMe booklet-making line, the BB 3002 perfect-binder, and its BCMe sheet preparation module for use inline with high-speed digital presses.

The new line-up was revealed at the Ipex Media Summit in London.

“At Ipex, what we show will be real, deliverable and ready for the market,” said CP Bourg marketing manager Eric Le Moine.

The Bourg BMe booklet-maker has been designed to process printed material from leading digital printers, including Xerox, Océ, and Kodak machines.

The line, which is controlled by a 12-inch touch screen, can produce up to 120pp booklets in a single pass.

“Designed for unsupervised operation, the BMe will monitor its performance constantly. If it has a problem, it will inform the operator immediately,” said Le Moine.

Le Moine also introduced the latest model of Bourg’s BB 3002 series of perfect binders (pictured). The machine offers the option to use either hot-melt or PUR adhesive.

Steven Kiernan is in London for the Ipex Media Summit.
