Currie Group boosts inspection credentials with AVT agency

Currie said it would provide Australian and New Zealand firms with sales and support for AVT’s print inspection and colour control solutions and also service all existing customers.

“The label and narrow web sectors are growing in the Australian and New Zealand markets and there is also rapid growth in the use of digital printing,” said the distributor.

“Currie Group is already a major player in the digital printing market through its exclusive distributor agreement with HP Indigo… In Australia and New Zealand, AVT has well over 40 customers in all sectors of its activities.”

Currie sales manager Mark Daws said: “This newly formed partnership with AVT enables us to provide more value to our growing customer base through a fully integrated labels and packaging solution.”

AVT was previously supplied by DES, whose sales director Russell Robertson told ProPrint: “We were disappointed at losing the agency after having put so much time, resources and money into building the AVT brand in this country.”
