DES and EFI launch Innovation Centre

According to DES sales director Russell Cavenagh, the Centre – which is set to open its doors in July – “is designed to showcase EFI products from the start to the finish of the workflow”.

The launch of the Centre is timed to coincide with PacPrint, which will see the Australian release of the EFI Rastek T660 UV flat bed printer and the EFI Jetrion 4000 label press.

DES has been the Australian distributor for EFI’s proofing systems for the past decade, though is now also an “EFI significant partner” for VUTEk super-wide digital inkjet printers, Rastek UV wide-format inkjet printers, the Jetrion industrial inkjet printing system, and the Digital StoreFront print-centric e-commerce solution.

“We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with EFI,” said DES managing director Ian Clare (pictured). “We have worked extensively with EFI over the last 10 years and this partnership is a logical step to providing a wider Asia Pacific regional service and increased customer satisfaction.”

“DES shares our vision of adding value and they have a strong history of successfully introducing and supporting digital technology into the graphic arts markets,” said EFI’s managing director for the Asia-Pacific region, Ramin Kazemi. “We are very pleased to be expanding this partnership of our world class digital printing and UV printer solutions.”
