The H652 offers almost double the speed of the H650, reaching 42sqm per hour, while also being capable of up to 1,200dpi resolution greyscale printing for high image quality.

As well as offering a higher maximum speed, the new machine also offers greyscale printing with up to eight levels of grey, even at the highest resolution.

Like the H650, it is a four-colour plus white machine, though white printing halves the productivity.

In addition to the 1.63×1.65m H652, EFI has also launched the larger Rastek T1000, a 2.49×1.32m machine that offers the same productivity and quality in a larger format.

EFI Australia told ProPrint that the H652 will be available in the Australian market in “late 2010”.

The H650 was launched into the Australian market at the Visual Impact Image Expo last month.
