Simon Trytell, EFI Australia’s inkjet sales manager, told ProPrint that the MediaMaster was currently only available as an option for the Vutek GS3200.

“MediaMaster is an auto feeder for board printing that has adjustable feed suction levels that accommodate a variety of substrates,” said Trytell. “It’s possible to run glass sheets, wood and normal stocks, and feed three-up at the same time, achieving major savings in time and manpower.”

The feeder can handle boards up to 1.6×3.2m and includes a cart to transfer printed sheets from the delivery of the printer to subsequent post-press processes.

By reducing the amount of manual materials loading and unloading, Vutek claims that the MediaMaster makes it possible for a single operator to run two printers at a time.

It also believes the addition of automated materials handling will increase the migration of screen printed work to digital.

EFI’s development of materials handling for its fastest machines follows on from similar moves by Inca, Durst and HP.

The MediaMaster was launched at last week’s International Sign Expo show in Orlando.
