Evolve Printing, Goldcraft Embossing and Horizon Graphics produced the sketchbook for Create Collective, a Gosford art centre that exhibits young artists and runs children's art classes.

The 60pp publication was produced on BJ Ball stock and features a wrap-around cover that was embossed, UV varnished and diecut.

Evolve printed 2,000 copies, which will be sold through Create Collective. All proceeds will be donated to a children's charity.

Evolve, which also designed the sketchbook, will donate an equal amount to its own charity, said managing director Graham Deaner.

"Evolve has always insisted we donate 1% of our gross turnover back to the local community or charity, and we've done that from the first month, no matter how good or slow the month has been," Deaner told ProPrint.

Goldcraft director Mark Steuer said the Marrickville-based firm was keen to support a youth-focused art centre.

"Without artists, there would be no Goldcraft Embossing, so we need to ensure they continue to be inspired to pursue a visual arts career," he said.

"Also, providing artists with a folder that incorporates the services Goldcraft offers might just inspire them to include foiling and embossing the next time they design a commercial piece."

Adam Mezgec, owner of Chatswood-based Horizon, said that as a father of four, he was delighted to be able to help children in need.

"I have no hesitation in contributing to projects of others that are positive and selfless. Being creative is the main reason I got into screenprinting," he said.

"Sometimes it's not about money but the fact I have the resources to help those in need."
