Exhibitor Q&A: Chief Media

What does your company do?

Chief Media was started in 2006. We have an 1100m2 factory. We supply substrates and consumables to the printing, sign, display and building industries. We specialise in large-format media and we do sheet-stock for screen printing.

Where are you based?

Minto, Sydney, and we’re opening a branch in Melbourne in a few months.

How many of you are here?

Four or five.

What are you showing?

Durafos Durager 610 SDW-HV promotional machine, Durafos Magiclet-100 eyeletting machine, Durafos 440ml ink cartridges and bulk systems, customised packaging and Haida composite panel.

What are your hopes for PacPrint?

It’s to make public awareness of who we are and what we are, especially in Melbourne with our new office about to open. We want to grow the business and show we’re a very serious player. The skillset that’s with this company includes more than 120 years of experience. We’ve got people from the screen industry and the sign industry working with the business.

What is your top tip?

Make the best of the opportunities because you never know when you’re going to get a sale.

Have you got a funny PacPrint story?

One day before the show, after months of getting everything all ready, I tripped over a cat and broke my foot.

What’s your trick for getting prospects involved?

As soon as they show an interest, you develop the conversation and take that to where you think their interest lies. A missed opportunity is a missed sale.
