Finsbury Green leads the charge at the SA/NT PICAs

Finsbury Green continued on from its success last year by winning six Gold Awards, five Silver Awards and seven Bronze Awards at the ceremony held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Hyde Park Press, a 50-staff Adelaide book printer, received a thunderous ovation when they were presented with the Heidelberg Excellence in Craft Award after already winning two Gold Awards and the DIC Excellence in Print award.

Director Barry Davis collected the prize and described the business as a “quiet achiever”, with the award proving to be “a testament to the effort and the contribution of the staff to make Hyde Park Press”.

Fellow director and co-owner Knowlton Coudrey said that winning two Excellence Awards, as well as Gold’s for both case bound and limp bound book printing, put the company in good stead to be known as ‘best book printer in South Australia’.

“I think that this proves the point that we are very good at our work,” he said.

“In South Australia we are known as ‘the’ book printers and this has been the direction the company has been heading in since the start.”

Other major winners on the night included Newstyle Printing and Fivestar Print who both won four Golds.
