Finsbury Green still king of SA after dominating PICAs

The Adelaide-based firm once again dominated the South Australia and Northern Territory awards night with eight wins, adding to the six it won in 2011 and eight it took in 2010.

Managing director Peter Orel attributed the result to committed staff, excellent service, visionary leadership and impressive technology.

“The technology side of our business forms a very big part of our strategy,” he told ProPrint.

Custom Cartons and Cutler Innovative Print Solutions both picked up three awards, while Bowden Group, Collotype Labels, Express Colour Printing, Hyde Park Press, Label Partners and Newstyle Printing had a pair of medals apiece.

Twelve firms each had one win: Arte Grafica Printing, Cadillac Printing, CCL Label, Digiwedoo, Elite Printing Studio, Graphic Print Group, Lane Print & Post, Openbook Howden Design & Print, Prints Alive, Rural Press Printing Murray Bridge, Studio Labels and Visualcom. Three categories had no winners.

There were no Territorian winners, although Cadillac Printing does have a Northern Territory division.

The event was held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 19 October.
