Five Star kit auction set for Thursday

The auctioneer’s hammer will be falling at Five Star Print on Thursday, with 425 lots up for grabs including some wide format printers, digital presses, finishing kit, prepress kit and consumables.

Adelaide based Five Star collapsed in May, with debts approaching $4m. The company is now in liquidation.

The big Heidelberg offset presses have already gone, Thursday’s auction will see the rest of the kit and a heap of paper, inks and other consumables sold to the highest bidder.

On offer for those interested in some wide format firepower are a Mimaki JVS160S, a Mimaki JF1631 Flatbed, an HP Z2100, and three Epson Stylus Pro printers, a 9900, 9880 & 7600.

Two Heidelberg cylinders size 46x64cm & 54x72cm  are up for grabs, along with a host of finishing kit including a G&K Folding Line, a Polar 115 guillotine, a Polar 66 Guillotine, laminators, Renz Wire Binders.

In prepress there is are Creo Trendsetter T8 and Agfa Select Avantra 44, along with a plethora of Apple Macs. Also for sale are a Canon CLC 5000 digital colour printer and a Fuji Xerox Docucolor 2600.

There are pallet loads of paper, inks, toner, board, and all the office equipment you would expect.

The auction is being hosted by Mason Gray Strange (MGS) with telephone and online bids accepted. It begins at 10.30am Thursday with viewing that morning and the previous day 10am-4pm on site in Netley.
