Flexo CTP becomes cleaner and greener with Jet Technologies

Jet will distribute the new AWP DEF digital water-wash flexo plate, which it described as cleaner, safer and more efficient.

Darryl Wilson, print and finishing production manager at Jet Technologies, told ProPrint that Asahi had made plate processing a greener and healthier process by switching from solvents to water.

Ink transfer, processing times and plate life had also improved without any drop-off in quality, he added.

“The results that we’re getting with the plates are as good if not better than current methods,” he said.

According to Jet Technologies, “This agreement strengthens Jet Technologies’ portfolio, and coupled with the Dainippon Screen FX range of digital imagers and AGI plate processors allows Jet Technologies to offer a full turn-key solution to produce high-quality in-house water-wash flexo.”
