Fuji Xerox delivers “full breadth of solutions”

The company’s colour production marketing manager Henryk Kraszewski gave ProPrint a private tour of the stand yesterday, which is a combined display with Fujifilm Australia.

On the floor, Fuji Xerox has taken the rather novel approach of “producing stuff with a life after the show”, as Kraszewski puts it, with a comprehensive book on cocktail-mixing proving to be a particular popular item with visitors.

Just as popular are the free photobook kiosks which are indicative of the partnership with Fujifilm.

Kraszewski rejected the suggestion that the combined approach was indicative of uncertainty regarding the GFC, claiming that the Fuji Xerox component of the stand is actually bigger than their entire stand at PacPrint 05.

On the equipment side, the Australian debut of the iGen4 has taken centre stage, with the new press appearing with both a saddle-stitcher and perfect-binder on the receiving end. The 700 Digital Color Press is close by, with Kraszewski saying the product is “really hitting a sweet spot in the market”.

On the finishing side, the company is also showcasing a squarefold trimmer module to be launched later this year, which Kraszewski claims is the first product to offer a square spine bind in its price point.

In tandem with Fujifilm, the company is also showcasing a range of “sales and marketing solutions”, supporting Kraszeski’s claim that the company is aiming to display the “full breadth of solutions” for the industry.

“These are resources for helping business, not just printing,” said Kraszewski.

“There’s no point in putting a piece of kit in, and saying ‘goodbye, and good luck’. The only way we succeed is if our customer succeeds.”
