Fuji Xerox launches centre in Bangkok

Fuji Xerox has launched a new seven million dollar integrated customer experience centre in Bangkok as it aims to grow its influence in the Asia Pacific region. The 3600sqm facility, Fuji Xerox says, will provide support to customers mainly in the printing industry across the Asia-Pacific region, to discover new or improved ways of delivering value to their own customers while addressing print and communication needs.

Masashi Honda, president and CEO of Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific, told Australian Printer that the decision to open a new centre was made 12 months ago. Honda says, “Thailand was selected due to the ease of access for all countries in the Asia Pacific region, with abundant, affordable accommodation and a fascinating culture to enhance the experience of our international visitors. “Fuji Xerox has put in USD$5m (AUD$7m) as an initial investment for the establishment of the center and is planning to enhance it in the near future.” He says this centre, which employs five local experts, will help customers in the region grow their businesses into new markets. “We will help regional customers expand into new business segments or markets by collaborating closely with our team to develop new print applications in a simulated environment using Fuji Xerox’s technologies,” Honda says. “Professional and technical personnel with a wide range of skill sets in areas like colour management, web-integration workflow, design, pre-press and print production will be available to assist customers in conducting end-to-end solution testing; and provide consultation on ways to increase efficiencies and explore new opportunities. “The centre also facilitates for media testing on various substrates and development of industry print applications, such as photobook, publications and direct mails, which are important functions for production printers to answer business needs.” Honda says the centre will also hold business development workshops focusing on Fuji Xerox’s range of solutions and applications, and seminars on industry and market trends.
