Fujifilm confirms two Acuity LED 1600 sales from PacPrint

Fujifilm marketing manager Nadine Lafleur said the manufacturer clinched the sale on the final day of the show and hoped it would form the start of a "long-term partnership".

Evoke will use the wide-format machine for backlit signs, posters, stickers and signage, she told ProPrint.

Evoke was attracted by the "versatility of the machine, including the flatbed option, plus the white and clear ink," she said.

"The Acuity LED 1600 can handle quite a bit of their current workload. Also Fujifilm can offer Evoke Media more machinery and help them grow into the future."

The 25 May sale came two days after Direct Image Digital Printing signed for an Acuity LED 1600.

The device has a maximum speed of 20sqm per hour and offers eight colours as standard, according to Fujifilm.

"The one-pass system can print two or three layers in combinations of colour, white and clear inks simultaneously in a single media run. This allows you to efficiently produce high value-added printing because it avoids media re-winding for separate overlaying of inks," according to Fujifilm.
