Future Print offers online sales course

The first heavily subsidised online business sales training course is now available for print companies to take advantage of, Future Print says. The PIAA-backed Future Print says its business review process has found that it can be difficult for print businesses to manage without a staff member while they attend off-site training, and difficult to find the money to cover the cost of many leading courses. In rural and regional areas, the challenges are multiplied by distance.

In response to these perennial road blocks to business development Future Print, under its Business Transformation Project, has been identifying a number of online training courses in partnership with respected training organisations, to provide a more convenient and cost effective option for businesses in print and associated areas, it says. Peter Barnet, Future Print business advisor, says the courses combine quality, convenience and competitive cost to create an unmissable opportunity for print companies. Barnet says, “Today’s busy and ultra-competitive environment makes it imperative to keep your skills and your business performance up to the mark, yet it can also make finding the time and money for training harder than ever. This is where Future Print online training can help. “These new courses make the most of current delivery methods to provide convenient training options which enable trainees to stay in their place of work rather than travel to a central training location thereby minimising any impact on the business’ productivity and profitability, while the subsidies provided through Future Print make these courses arguably the most cost-competitive our industry has ever seen.” Julie Tymms, from Australian Academy of Sales, which is providing the first online training, says places are filling fast, with those expressing interest including not only traditional sales staff, but a range of people who have direct contact with business clients. Tymms says, “This is an exciting opportunity to empower sales professionals, managers, business owners and other front line staff to improve performance and achieve better results than ever before. “In this comprehensive course, we’ll take participants through every aspect of successful sales, from identifying and addressing their own strengths and weaknesses in selling, to learning new techniques, sales psychometrics and associated behaviours, and a range of how tos – how to qualify and engage prospects, how to implement effectives strategies and improve presentation, how to handle objections and resolve concerns and, of course, how to effectively close a sale. online_training_image

“Each month on a Tuesday morning, registered participants will log in to a training session delivered by one of our experts, who will be available for questions and discussions to ensure trainees fully understand the month’s course content. Those who miss a session for any reason will be able to access a recording to catch up. “It is the perfect course for sales people who want to lift their confidence, gain valuable new skills and improve their performance, but it is also ideal for virtually anyone who has contact with your customers because, in today’s competitive market, everyone needs to be a sales professional to ensure your business is making the most of market opportunity.” The first online sales training is set to commence on Tuesday, October 6. Barnet says normally it would cost $3000 plus GST, but for small to medium businesses (under 100 employees) registered with Future Print, government subsidies will reduce the cost to $990 – or $99 a month from October to August. Barnet says, “This is quite simply the best opportunity most businesses in our industry will ever have to harness the power of high quality sales training to improve their business. “For the commitment of just three hours a month, in front of your own computer in your own office, and an investment of a mere $99 a month, it’s a no-brainer.” Future Print says the Business Sales course is the first of a number of online options soon to be offered, with courses in areas including digital marketing and web development, colour management and innovation also in the final stages of development. Businesses interested in joining the Future Print initiative to take up this opportunity should contact Peter Barnet on 0415 204 335 or at peter@futureprint.org.au. Businesses already registered with Future Print can find out more or register for the course by calling Julie Tymms at AAS directly on 0422 275 084 or by going to http://aasales.com.au/training/certificate-iv-in-business-sales/
