The manufacturer will showcase a new gravure unit and its HiDef flexo printing system, along with other finishing processes including rotary screen printing and cold foiling in a single pass.

The new gravure unit, which can be integrated at any point in the folding line, enables printers to use water and solvent-based inks. It has been designed to be user-friendly with cylindrical gravure sleeves to help reduce operating costs.

The gravure unit includes a flying imprint option that enables changeover of the gravure cylinder while the web tension is automatically regulated and kept constant, without the web having to be separated.

The HiDef flexo printing system aim sto produce top quality at all speeds, from proofing to full production. It includes temperature-controlled anilox rollers, dynamic printing pressure adjustment and matched components, such as inking systems and printing plates. Its use of ink cartridges, sleeve technology and chambered doctor blade systems aims to reduce setup and changeover times to a minimum.
