GAMAA announces Leadership Scholarships for 2009

Scholarships have been awarded to Darren Reynolds, production manager for Printing and Prepress at Cryovac Australia, Christoph Lebesmuehlbacher, WA customer support manager at Heidelberg Graphic Equipment, and Stephen Murphy, press operations manager at Fairfax Printers (Fairfax Media).

“It is a great honour to be accepted into the GAMAA Leadership programme,” said Reynolds. “In this time of economic uncertainty focusing energy on the development of people will ensure that the industry continues to prosper and I must thank GAMAA for this valuable initiative.”

“The programme will undoubtedly permit me to further my academic studies and allow me to become an even more active player in the future of our printing industry,” said Lebesmuehlbacher

“On behalf of the GAMAA members I welcome the new scholars and commend them on their commitment to furthering their education through our Leadership Programme,” said GAMAA president Mitchell Mulligan (pictured). “The GAMAA Leadership Programme has awarded over 34 scholarships since its inception in 2002, including 30 full scholarships. We are very proud of this initiative, which is currently one of the core activities for GAMAA.”

“The 2009 Scholarship round attracted a high calibre of applicant which made selection extremely difficult,” said GAMAA education manager Samantha Crock.
