Awards chairman John Wanless, managing director of Melbourne-based Bambra Press, told ProPrint that Zemiro was “a good MC and will add another element to the theme, which is ‘Greatest Hits'”.

The event will be held at Melbourne’s Crown Casino on 20 April and will be a chance for printers from around the country to network and socialise, said Wanless.

“We expect we will get good numbers. We’re hoping to get 500 and if we do we’ll be very happy,” he said.

The awards night will be a showdown between the 182 jobs that triumphed at each state and territory’s Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards (PICA).

This year’s PICAs will be held between August and November.
