HP installs 300 drupa Indigo presses

HP has completed its order list from drupa 2016 by delivering more than 300 of its HP Indigo Presses to customers from across the globe.

HP reports all major HP Indigo customer deals finalised at drupa have now been fulfilled, and says the installed presses are in full production.

Of the 300 Indigo presses, 100 were from the series 4 Indigo range, including the HP Indigo 10000, 12000, 20000 and 30000 digital printers. The other 200 installations were from the series 3 and 4 portfolios.

A notable Indigo installation in Australia was that of South Australian book printer Griffin Press, which is now running the high speed inkjet web HP T410, along with Indigo 10000 and HP Indigo 7800 printers for its end-to-end digital book production line. HP Indigo presses are supplied in Australia by Currie Group.

HP has also revealed it is introducing four new 30-inch PageWide Web Presses with High Definition Nozzle Architecture (HDNA), aimed at the customised magazine, catalogue and book printing markets.

The new models are the T390 HD, T390M HD, T380 HD and the T370 HD, which HP says represent the expansion of HDNA technology across the its PageWide portfolio, offering better print quality, productivity and versatility.

“Print service providers continue to search for technology that gives them a competitive edge in a crowded market, seeking the ability to deliver end customers high-value offerings while also increasing profitability,” says Steve Donegal, regional manager for Pagewide web press solutions.

“Today’s announcements demonstrate HP’s commitment to innovation that leads to immediate impact to our customers’ businesses.”
