Indigo makes Scott Print ‘one of largest digital printers in WA’

The Perth firm installed the secondhand HP Indigo 5000 with a fifth colour unit in April, alongside its Fuji Xerox Color 1000 and three other Xerox machines.

Manager Tim Scott said the investment has given Scott Print “one of the largest digital facilities in the state”.

“One of our major points of difference is our in-house finishing. Not many of our competitors can offer the turnaround that we can, which is usually an important consideration for customers when choosing a digital print partner,” he told ProPrint.

“We have been steadily increasing our digital printing and finishing capabilities for a number of years, which reflects the change in market demand… We are seeing a shift away from offset printing towards digital printing. It’s a strong growth area.”

Scott said the 60-staff operation could now offer “a complete solution, all within our strict international environmental, quality and colour standards, in a highly secure environment”.

Scott Print has ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 12647-2 certification, and also received FSC certification in December.
