Konica Minolta Brisbane has thrown its support behind the Queensland Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards (PICAs) and Legends Gala Dinner this Friday November 4 through its gold-level sponsorship.

Organised by the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA), the PICA awards celebrate the achievements of excellent print by awarding the best of the best in the Queensland industry.

This year the event will commence with a display of the PICA entries, which are open for viewing by all design and print educational facilities.

Scott Jackson, state manager for Konica Minolta Brisbane says, “Konica Minolta is proud to get behind the industry that supports us. Konica Minolta staff members will be in attendance during the day to talk with students and visitors about printing trends and share some of our printing capabilities.

“The print industry has, and will continue to be, a key market for Konica Minolta. We continually strive to provide technology and support that meets the needs of this important industry, and help take it into the future.

Andrew Macaulay, PIAA CEO adds, “The PICAs play a significant role in identifying quality and innovation in print. Konica Minolta has been a major supporter of this process, and Printing Industries is grateful.

Innovation stems from collaboration between printers and equipment suppliers meeting customer demands for new ideas and excellent quality.”

The awards will be presented from 5pm on November 4, followed by the Legends Gala Dinner, which will celebrate people who have made a difference in the industry.

During the event, the PIAA will award the legends of industry as well as awarding a highly-contributing female member of the print industry. Young apprentice finalists are also set to be acknowledged.
