Konica Minolta has announced the availability of the Plockmatic SD-350 and SD-500 in-line high-specification production booklet finishers available with Konica Minolta production print systems.
The Plockmatic SD-500/350 is a modular in-line booklet making solution for commercial printers and in-house print rooms of all sizes. It is available on the bizhub Press C1085/C1100 and 1052e/1250e/1250eP.
Plockmatic designed the SD-350 and SD-500 as modular finishers that integrate specifically with the Konica Minolta production print systems. The company says they have a seamless appearance with Konica Minolta systems, and will be installed and maintained by the Konica Minolta dedicated production print service team.

Konica Minolta is excited to expand its finishing capabilities on the production print colour and monochrome print systems.
“The Plockmatic SD-500 and SD-350 combines the ability to produce high-quality finished booklets while maintaining high performance and leading productivity matched perfectly to Konica Minolta print systems.”
A key differentiator is that the SD-350 can be upgraded in the field to the higher capacity SD-500 model, so that as commercial printer demands grow so can their capabilities.
Both finishing systems come with the latest colour graphical user interface that guides operators through job set up. The systems complement Konica Minolta’s existing saddle stitch finishing systems, with added capabilities and features while the SD-500 enables up to 50 sheets to be produced in a finished booklet system. That is a 200-page document with three-edge trimming and square-bound bind capabilities. The patented folding technology optimises sheet thickness by using a set sensor ensuring automatic folding pressure.
Konica Minllta says that designed for commercial printers and in-house print rooms with high-volume booklet printing demands, the Plockmatic SD-350 and SD-500 fit the requirement with heavy-duty design and construction and media flexibility to ensure performance.
