Lanier looks to the future

Lanier production solutions consultant Bill Atta said that PacPrint is moving from its litho offset origins to “a converging show that embraces various media, print and electronic”, and he sees the C5110S as an ideal contender for mid-tier colour digital customers.

The light production machine can reach speeds of 80 pages per minute and 4,800dpi resolution.

Users benefit from the device’s Trained Customer Replaceable Units, which reduce downtime.

Lanier has emerged strongly as a brand in its own right and its appearance at PacPrint13 establishes its brand firmly in the commercial print marketplace, he said.

“This PacPrint is very different from its predecessors and places it well on the way to becoming a media exhibition rather than just a print event in the narrow sense. Digital’s ability to converge with electronic communications technologies gives it an edge that will be built on in years to come.”
