LIA host digital embellishment and value added print evening

The Lithographic Institute of Australia (NSW) is hosting a technical dinner in Sydney on Wednesday October 23 to explore digital embellishment and value-added print.

Presenters from Currie Group, Océ and Konica Minolta will attend the evening, which coincides with International Print Day, to give insights into the types of digital embellishment that are available and how these can open up possibilities within print businesses.

“Despite decreasing print run lengths, print businesses can increase their profits with digital embellishments, which add value to their print. Digital Embellishment does not require the same skill level and knowledge of Hot Foil Stamping, Substrates, specialized processes,” the invite from the LIA says.

“There are many Digital Embellishments available: traditional high gloss UV varnish, spot matt and gloss varnishes, sensory raised and textured spot varnishes, metal foiling and die-less foil applications, printing on to laminates, then embellishing.

“This will be a great opportunity to watch, listen and learn and open our minds to possibilities within our own businesses.”

Event details:

Cost: $65 LIA Members and $70 Non-Members.
