LithoTechnics becomes Metrix Software

The company, which has its registered head office in Fairy Meadow, NSW and launched the first version of Metrix at Drupa 2004, decided to realign its brand with its most famous product, which now has more than 1,000 users in 22 countries.

Rohan Holt, chief executive of Metrix Software, said: “Since the company has focused exclusively on enhancing the Metrix product line and building our customer base, the market has come to know us as simply ‘Metrix.’

“Renaming the company Metrix Software reinforces our brand and our focus, and capitalises on our success. While Metrix is not yet a household name it certainly is recognised by many as the de facto standard in automated production planning and imposition, and we intend to keep building on that achievement.”

Holt said he was proud of its achievements over the past eight year and hinted at further announcements related to the Metrix imposition tool “in the near future”.

“We are constantly expanding and perfecting our core technology and there is no shortage of potential applications and enhancements,” he said. “I expect Metrix Software to be very busy in the coming years, with some exciting announcements even in the near future.”

Metrix Software is exhibiting at Drupa 2012, where visitors to its stand are getting demonstrations of the pre-release 2012 version of Metrix.

Holt said the new version of the rules-based imposition software “changes to game in automation”.
