Mail Boxes Etc wins global accolade

The Australian arm of global direct mail franchise Mail Boxes Etc defeated thirty-one other countries after winning the annual MBE Marketing Excellence Award.

MBE’s global accolade recognises the country division with the most successful marketing campaign, with MBE Australia taking out the gong for a 2015 wide-format marketing operation.

According to the judges, the success of the campaign has catapulted MBE Australia’s awareness and sales across wide format, and the sector continues to grow.

MBE Australia chief executive Clayton Treloar accepted the award at the franchise’s head office in Milan from global CEO Paolo Fiorelli.

“Our marketing has gone from strength to strength over the past two years and the feedback I am constantly receiving from our network is overwhelmingly positive to say the least,” says Treloar.

“With our improved marketing strategies and collateral, franchise owners are benefiting through sales growth and continued building of the MBE brand.”

Speaking with ProPrint, Treloar says mail is not the crux of Mail Boxes Etc’s success, despite being its namesake.

“Around 80 per cent of our operations is printing, and a lot of our existing mail customers eventually turn into our print customers as clients see that we do printing for business cards, flyers and brochures too,” he says.

“We also are moving into the signage world, our franchise in Dandenong, Victoria has all the big equipment to do signage.”
