Manroland launches 900 XXL 64pp sheetfed long-perfector

Its maximum sheet size of 1,310×1,870mm, 10mm longer and 200mm wider than the same format straight machine, makes it the biggest sheetfed perfector yet produced, leapfrogging the Heidelberg XL162 and KBA Rapida 162. Maximum printable area is 1,290×1,850mm.

Manroland Australasia said the machine is currently available for sale in the local market. The first machine has already been installed at a printer in Germany.

When perfecting, the XXL runs at 10,000 sheets per hour.

Features include InlineObserver to monitor sheet turning and travel between units, and an optional InlineSlitter, which slits the printed sheets to produce two stacks of format 5B sheets in the delivery, simplifying subsequent post-press processing.

Other options include InlineColorPilot closed-loop colour system and APL automatic plate loading.
