Manroland launches new Rotoman web press models

The manufacturer has introduced two configurations, a HiPrint model for customers with a more limited set of requirements compared to those opting for the new DirectDrive offering.

According to Manroland, the HiPrint model removes “some of the bells and whistles” featured in the more sophisticated DirectDrive configuration while maintaining the “excellent build quality” of the Rotoman platform.

The Manroland HiPrint can print at speeds of up to 55,000sph. The more automated DirectDrive configuration, which features the company’s autoprint production system, can print at speeds of 70,000sph.

Hartmut Massierer, executive vice president of the commercial web printing systems business unit at Manroland, said: We are aware that customers expect a lot from us: new demands require new technical solutions.

“As a result we have decided to in future offer two versions of the best 16-page rotary press on the market.”

The model is available in Australia, however no models have currently been installed.
