MLP UK gains environmental mark

The B1 and B2 press manufacturer installed recycling facilities for paper, wood, board, plastic, and all hazardous waste at its site in Leeds.

The company also made changes to its working routines and policies to meet the international standard.

Mitsubishi's environmental manager Lee Taylor said: "We had to make several changes to our normal working routines, including the implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure all employees of MLP UK are aware of the impact their day-to-day work has on the environment."

He added: "The small, simple things can make a huge difference: like switching off equipment at the end of the working day, such as photocopiers, monitors, air conditioning, lights. These changes don't cost anything, and ultimately save your company money."
