The Xitron Keysetter tools, which works in conjunction with existing pre-press software, optimises ink usage by presetting the ink ducts on the press.

The range will be available exclusively through G2 solutions and comes in three tiers: ‘Light’, ‘Pro’ and ‘Connect’. 

G2 director Peter Fell described the product as a “great addition to the workflow”.

“All printers are looking to reduce production time and this product allows printers to automatically set the ink keys on their presses,” he said.

“A lot of printers want to get into this and Keysetter gives them a much cheaper entry point than the systems developed by press manufacturers.”

The company said Keysetter products integrate with the Xitron Navigator pre-press systems or as standalone modules, which can be used with any pre-press workflows.
