Oce staff brush up on Canon technical know-how

Training sessions were held in Sydney's North Ryde last week and focused on the Canon ImagePress C7010VP and the ImagePress C7010VPS, which have both been added to Oce’s colour production portfolio.

The sessions featured hands-on workshops where Océ Australia sales and consultancy staff studied workflow and colour management, as well as the impact of colour consistency, registration and job attributes.

Damian Schaller, Océ marketing manager for digital document systems, said that the Dutch vendor offers numerous control systems, which operate seamlessly with Canon products.

"Only by learning what press operators and print shop managers come across throughout their working week can they deliver true value when speaking to their clients," he said.

Stephanie Chaillaud and Chad Cook from Océ's international training centre in the Netherlands flew into Sydney to take the training sessions, which were built around Océ's new PrismaSync controller.

Canon acquired a 71% stake in Océ in March 2010.
