OMA to chair Future Cities conference

The Outdoor Media Association (OMA) will be curating its annual Future Cities conference held on April 28 at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney. OMA launched the event to bring together thought leaders to discuss where Australia’s cities are headed and the infrastructure required to get them there, including the role of outdoor media.

CEO of OMA Charmaine Moldrich says, “We know in this changing world that the role our industry plays will be greater than the displayer of a printed poster, we can be connectors, data aggregators, providers of wayfinding information, and more. “Future Cities is the start of a conversation to find how we can be part of the solution for integrated, well-designed, functional cities.” Held over one full day, the conference will be split into three parts, each with its own keynote speaker and panel discussion. The three topics include – Visions for our cities’ futures, Technology’s part in facilitating future cities, and How cities will attract and keep their people. To speak on these topics, Future Cities has brought in a variety of thinkers from industry, government, planning and creative backgrounds. These include ABC Radio’s Angela Stengel, Futurecity founder Mark Davy, and New South Wales chief planner Gary White to name a few. The conference will also be held in Melbourne and Brisbane.
