Opus forms offshore alliance to increase electronic content services

The agreement will see MTC provide Opus with services including electronic versioning, app solutions, the conversion of traditional products and electronic book and publishing creation.

Opus group chief executive Cliff Brigstocke told ProPrint the growing move into electronic content services had come about because “clients more and more are asking us to provide this sort of service”.

He said the MTC partnership had followed more than 12 months of negotiations and would hopefully develop further.

“The alliance with MTC enables us to extend our business services offer to now include all aspects of electronic content delivery with a partner who recognises the leadership position of Opus in the Asia Pacific region,” Brigstocke said.

“This alliance will complement the on-shore work currently provided by Opus using its proprietary content management platform, IPALM.”

Opus Group’s Asian footprint includes wholly owned Singapore firm Cos Printers and a strategic alliance with Hong Kong-based Hung Hing.

Opus agreed to merge with Australia’s largest book printer, McPherson’s Printing Group, late last year.
