Opus Group director resigns

Opus Group director Matthew McGrath has resigned effective immediately, the company announced yesterday.

"Mr McGrath has stepped down from the board to concentrate on his increased commitments as the chief brand officer at Network Ten," said Opus.

"The Opus Group board would like to acknowledge the significant contribution Mr McGrath has made to the Opus Group as both a director and advisor, specifically his advice and skills in the areas of digital production and outdoor media."

Chief executive Cliff Brigstocke told ProPrint that McGrath became a consultant to the board in 2011 and was then appointed a director on 30 March 2012 – the same day that the McPherson's Printing merger was made official.

McGrath's resignation has prompted a board review, so a replacement may not be appointed, said Brigstocke.

Opus is also in the midst of a strategic review of its outdoor division, which may result in the sale of Cactus Imaging in Australia and Omnigraphics in New Zealand.
