Opus Group wins multimillion-dollar NZ retail contract

Omnigraphics NZ won the deal with Hypermedia Group, which manages floor graphics and promotional shelf advertising for 159 Countdown supermarkets.

Steven Spear, general manager of Omnigraphics, said the contract was an endorsement of the company’s customer service.

“Hypermedia Group wanted to have a trusted production partner who could handle the quality and turnaround demands of in-store media on a weekly basis,” he said.

“We are an ideal partner as our diverse offering in grand format digital printing and ‘can do’ attitude is perfectly suited to the Hypermedia Group.”

Omnigraphics said Hypermedia was now one of its top 10 clients. Other retail accounts include Telecom NZ, Rodd & Gunn and Hannah’s.

Omnigraphics won the ‘Best Building Wrap’ category at the 2011 International Wrap Artist awards after an entire tower building in Auckland was transformed into an advertising billboard as part of a Rugby World Cup campaign.

Parent Opus Group recently expanded its offshore activities by partnering with a Philippines company as part of a push into electronic content.
