Global prepress giant Sonoco-Trident (Trident) has acquired boutique prepress creative agency Digital Graphic Communications (DGC), based in Sydney.

The two companies have been working together locally, and globally for four years within the consumer packaged goods industry, providing graphics management and digital pre-press services.

Sonoco-Trident says the DGC acquisition adds a local and global client-base to the combined organisation.

Trident was founded in 1993, and is the operating division of NYSE-listed Sonoco, which supplies consumer packaging, protective packaging, industrial products, displays, and packaging supply chain services. It has 21,000 employees across 33 countries, and cites sales of $5bn yearly.

DGC was founded in 2003.
