PacPrint Q&A: Bottcher Australia

Mitchell Mulligan

Managing director

Böttcher australia

When was your company's first PacPrint?

I think it was 2001.

Can you name any milestone launches at previous PacPrints?

In 2001 we launched our Bötthcerin roller and blanket washes, BöttcherTop blankets and Böttcher Fount fountain solutions. In 2005, we launched our BöttcherFout IPA-free fountain solution and special IPA-free dampening compounds. In 2009, we introduced special coating systems for dampening rollers to enable greater chemical resistance, water control and life.

Can you name any milestone sales at previous PacPrints?

Not really one that stands out, shows are more about exchanging information and concepts with our customers.

PacPrint or PrintEx – what’s your favourite?

No favourite, both have their own unique dynamics that connects us to our customers and brings the industry together to share technology, innovations, best practices, future trends and business opportunities.

How can customers get the most out of PacPrint?

By engaging with the vendors and asking the tough questions of how they can help them achieve their targets and add value to their business. By seeking to understand the real opportunities presented by new business models and with innovations and new technology.

How will you entice customers to invest?

It is hoped that through the process of demonstrating the current and potential value of our partnership and the advantages that our systems can provide our customers, that we can entice them to engage in the process of systematic evaluation and benchmarking as a first step.

What will you be showing at PacPrint13?

For sheetfed, we have a new generation of Böttcher printing blanket innovations such as our all-inclusive blanket, which is a world first and exclusively ours. It is the first time the market has seen this concept and already we have repeat customer orders. We are also showcasing our new washcloth technologies that have unique advantages for commercial and packaging sheetfed printers. We will also show a range of products for packaging, web, sheetfed, flexo and gravure.

Can you give us any other hints about your stand or plans?

It’s still in planning stages, but promises to be a bit of fun for our visitors.
